As a Tahoe Donner owner for more than 25 years, I know this community intimately, and have seen it grow over the decades from a neighborhood of gambrels and smaller cabins to a destination where owners are pushing the architectural envelope to take advantage of the sweeping views this mountaintop community offers. The homeowners association has changed with it, tearing down old structures like the cross country ski shack of yesteryear to make room for a more elegant and larger Lodge.
