A Special Spot near Tahoe City
Dollar Point is a very walkable community, with easy access to the neighboring Lake Forest neighborhood, an "Old Tahoe" collection of cabins that's home to Skylandia State Park, one of the North Shore's hidden gems. It's a great neighborhood for biking or long strolls with the pooch, close enough to the hub of summertime fun in Tahoe City, yet far enough removed to feel quiet and secluded.

Private HOA Beach & Pier
One of the biggest draws to Dollar Point is its beautiful beach with a concierge-staffed pier and buoy field. Just show up, and the on-staff valet will fetch your boat from the buoy. For boaters, it's an ideal setup. And best of all, it's private to Dollar Point homeowners and their guests. While short-term rentals are still allowed at Dollar Point (subject to Placer County permit restrictions) renters are not allowed to use the beach or other amenities.
Kayaks & SUPs
The beach also allows for storage of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, making it a great spot to enjoy a day at -- or on -- the Lake!
Dollar Point HOA Fees
Compared to other lakefront developments, the annual HOA dues at Dollar Point are relatively affordable (just $1,200 a year in 2023 with a $5,100 transfer fee when a home with an active memberships sells). Most homeowners are members of the Association at Dollar Point, but for those who aren't, the Initiation Fee has been raised to $50,000, which is negotiable at the time of sale, and can be shared between a buyer and a seller.
