ArrowCreek is a community of homes with several distinct architectural styles ranging from contemporary homes with open floor plans and sweeping city skyline, to Craftsman-style bungalows with mountain views of the Eastern Sierra. Almost all homes here feature exterior stucco finishes, which hold up well to the all-day sun and dry high mountain climate of Reno. Homes built during the early stages of ArrowCreek's development have a distinct Greco Roman style employing columns, ornate wrought-iron detailing, and the extensive use of marble or other highly polished stone. Over the past 15 years, that style has given way to more austere modern designs in which coffee-colored finish materials blend with stainless steel and cool color palettes for a clean interior look. Almost all of the homes in ArrowCreek are custom builds, many by owners aiming for their dream home, and others by custom spec builders. With tightly controlled architectural standards, even the spec builds in ArowCreek are beautifully designed with high-end finishes.
A Golfer's Dream
With more than 300 days of sun per year, Reno is an ideal home for golfers, and ArrowCreek is designed around that passion. The community surrounds the golf courses, and the centerpiece is a cozy clubhouse with a restaurant, bar and banquet space. An HOA maintains the roads, parks and an extensive trail system winding throughout the community, and fees are less than $300 per month. For those who enjoy golf, prices are reasonable, with an All-Inclusive membership priced at less than $600 per month. Members also enjoy use of the driving range, putting green and chipping areas.
Great place for kids
ArrowCreek is a friendly place where neighbors tend to know one another, and social events bring people together around shared hobbies, or for a leisurely lunch at the clubhouse after a morning of golf. Many residents are young families, and there are year-round structured activities for children, ranging from summer camps to golf, swimming and tennis instruction. The public school school just outside ArrowCreek's main gate, Hunsberger Elementary, is one of the top-ranked schools in Nevada. Sage Ridge, a private school nearby, offers a college prep curriculum for grades 4 - 12. Also close by is Bishop Manogue High School, one of the best high schools in the region.
The community is gated, and the main entrance is staffed full-time by security personnel, who notify residents when guests arrive to visit them. While this area of South Reno is not a high crime area, some residents like the privacy the gate affords. It has the effect of keeping out unnecessary traffic, which is nice in a Country Club like ArrowCreek, where golf carts are as common as joggers.
ArrowCreek is just minutes from some of Reno's best dining & shopping, including the Apple store, Dillard's, and specialty shops like Orvis, but close enough to the mountains to offer superior skiing and hiking at Mt. Rose. Lake Tahoe, and its year-round activities, is only 25 minutes away.
ArrowCreek is a welcoming to new members. If you are thinking about a home in Reno, we can arrange for a tour that includes the opportunity to experience the amenities and even enjoy a few rounds of golf with a member.
